Applications are now open for Special Education Parent Grants! The window is open until April 30th!
Parents of students who receive special education services (have an IEP) may apply for up to $1,500 to support their child’s educational needs. These funds can be used for a variety of approved educational goods and services, including therapies and learning supports.
To apply for the PDSES grant, parents MUST have or create a My SPEDTex Account.
To start the application process, click on the button below "Apply Now".
Parents should log in to their My SPEDTex Account and click on the "Apply for the PDSES grant" button to create their PDSES Parent Portal.
Once in the PDSES Parent Portal, parents must add their contact information.
Next parents will add their student(s) to their PDSES Parent Portal by clicking “Add Student.”
Parents will need to provide the following information to be able to search for and add their student on the “Student Lookup” page:
Identification Number:
1. Unique Identification Number (UID) – If you know your student’s 10-digit UID you can enter it here. See this FAQ more information about UIDs.
OR
2. Social Security Number (SSN) or State Alternate ID (S#) - (only needed if you do not know your student’s UID) – you can use your student’s SSN (9-digits) or S# (the letter “S” followed by 8-digits) to lookup the UID, whichever number was used to register the student. If you do not know your student’s SSN or S#, you will need to contact your student’s school - the PDSES program and TEA are unable to provide this information.
3. Student Information:
First Name
Last Name
Date of Birth
After the application window has opened, and during the application window, parents can select “Apply” on the row for each individual student.

🚨¡Ya están abiertas las solicitudes para las Subvenciones para Padres de Educación Especial! ¡El plazo de solicitud estará abierto hasta el 30 de abril! 🚨
Los padres de estudiantes que reciben servicios de educación especial (y que cuentan con un IEP) pueden solicitar hasta $1,500 para apoyar las necesidades educativas de sus hijos. Estos fondos pueden utilizarse para una variedad de bienes y servicios educativos aprobados, incluyendo terapias y apoyos para el aprendizaje.
Para solicitar la subvención PDSES, los padres DEBEN tener o crear una cuenta en My SPEDTex.
Para iniciar el proceso de solicitud, haga clic en el botón de abajo que dice "Apply Now" (Solicitar ahora).
Los padres deben iniciar sesión en su cuenta de My SPEDTex y hacer clic en el botón "Apply for the PDSES grant" (Solicitar la subvención PDSES) para crear su Portal para Padres PDSES.
Una vez dentro del Portal para Padres PDSES, los padres deben agregar su información de contacto.

Una vez que se haya abierto el plazo de solicitud, y durante el mismo, los padres podrán seleccionar "Apply" (Solicitar) en la fila correspondiente a cada estudiante individual.
